Caring for young eyes

A child may not realise or let you know that there is a problem with their vision so it's really important that you take your child to regular eye examinations just to check everything is okay and any concerns can be spotted as soon as possible.

Possible signs that something may be wrong include: sitting very close to the tv; difficulty or frustration when reading; rubbing their eyes frequently; excessive blinking and many more.

Eye tests can spot signs of other health concerns too so it's a great idea to make sure your child has a regular eye test with an optician.

Children's Eyewear

Should your child need glasses, we offer a range of durable, colourful and designer eyewear to make sure that your little ones feel their best.

For older children and teens, we've got plenty of stylish, more grown up frames to choose from.

We also provide contact lenses for children too! Our range of contact lenses are all easy to use and comfortable to wear all day.

Myopia Control

Myopia, sometimes called short-sightedness, is a rising concern across the globe. This is important as Myopia can increase your chances of developing other sight-threatening conditions like cataracts, glaucoma and retinal detachment.

At Local Eyes, we are proud to offer both MiyoSmart spectacle lenses and MiSight daily contact lenses to help your child with short-sightedness.
